‘Big End of Town’ No.1 for Paul Costa

Paul Costa is celebrating his second #1 single, ‘Big End Of Town’ from the 2012 album “Wheels & Steel” on the Country Tracks Top 30. The song was co-written with fellow Australian country artist Tamara Stewart and asks the big questions of our government, regardless of what side you stand.

The idea came about when Paul saw a TV commercial for the last NSW state election and the question was asked, ‘are you working for the people or the big end of town?’ – Paul says “I knew it would mean different things to different people but I think it’s healthy for everyone to not only ask questions but demand answers and hold the big end of town accountable”.

‘Don’t you wonder how they can fly so high; While the working man can’t get off the ground,’ Costa & Stewart, Big End Of Town, 2012

“It’s a huge thrill to have another #1 single from “Wheels & Steel”. Performing these songs on the road and the feedback from country fans is so rewarding”, says the Mallee-born musician.

The past 12 months have been a constant high for Paul – his fourth album “Wheels & Steel”, debuted at #2 on the ARIA charts and the opening single ‘Tractors & Bikes’, also enjoyed the #1 spot on the Country Tracks Top 30 coupled with sell out shows including the Capitol Theatre Tamworth at this year’s festival.
